Paylocity Connection

You will identify your Paylocity Company ID, request API credentials from Paylocity, and enter those credentials in the secure Clarity connection window.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Have access to your Paylocity account. Paylocity must issue a Client ID and Client Secret before the connection can be completed.

Start Your Secure Connection

Open the Clarity connection link and enter your Paylocity Company ID.

Open the secure Clarity connection link provided to you and select Allow and Continue.
In Paylocity, locate your Company ID in the upper-left corner of the dashboard. The ID shown in brackets is your Company ID.
Enter the Company ID in the secure Clarity connection window and select Next.

Request Paylocity API Access

Submit Paylocity’s Web Services Access Request Form to obtain your connection credentials.

Complete the Paylocity Web Services Access Request Form using the following information:

Client Contact Information	Your organization’s contact information, such as your HR administrator.
Vendor / Third-Party Contact Information	Clarity Benefit Solutions.
Use Case	“We are using Clarity Benefit Solutions to connect our Paylocity data.”
Webhook Push Notifications	Leave this section blank.
Permissions	Select only the permissions required for your Clarity connection.

If you are unsure which Paylocity permissions are required, contact Clarity before submitting the request.

Submit the completed form to: service@paylocity.com

Your email can simply request a Client ID and Client Secret for API access and note that the completed access request form is attached.

PAYLOCITY PROCESSING

Paylocity may charge a fee for API setup and credential issuance. Timing and any applicable fees are managed directly by Paylocity.

Receive Your Paylocity Credentials

Paylocity will provide the credentials needed to finish the secure connection.

Once Paylocity approves your request, they will provide:

Client ID
Client Secret

KEEP THESE CREDENTIALS SECURE

Treat your Client ID and Client Secret as confidential connection credentials. Keep them available until the connection is complete.

When Paylocity provides the credentials, return to the secure Clarity connection window.

You do not need to enter anything until Paylocity has issued both credentials. Once you have them, continue to Step 4.

Connect Paylocity to Clarity

Enter your Paylocity credentials to complete the secure connection.

Enter the Client ID provided by Paylocity.
Enter the Client Secret provided by Paylocity.
Select Connect.

Enter the credentials, select Connect, and look for the Connection established confirmation. (1/2) — Enter the credentials, select Connect, and look for the Connection established confirmation.

You’re Connected!

Once the credentials are accepted, your secure Paylocity connection to Clarity is complete.

Before you finish, confirm:

The correct Paylocity Company ID was entered
Paylocity issued the Client ID and Client Secret
The credentials were entered in the secure connection window
You received the Connection established confirmation
