Paycor Connection

You will create a Paycor application, authorize the employee data needed for the connection, and enter the secure credentials that connect Paycor to Clarity.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

You must be a Paycor Perform Company, Payroll, or HR Administrator to complete the connection.

Start Your Secure Connection

Open the Clarity connection link and approve access to begin.

Open the secure Clarity connection link provided to you.
Review the requested data access and select Allow and Continue.

Review the requested Paycor data access, then select Allow and Continue.

Create Your Paycor Application

Create the application and save the credentials you will use to connect.

From the Paycor home screen, go to:

Applications > + Application

Select Standard as the application type and create the application.
Copy and save the Application OAuth Client ID and Application OAuth Client Secret.
Open the new application, select Security Connections, and copy the APIm Subscription Key.

KEEP THESE CREDENTIALS HANDY

For security reasons, Paycor may not display the Client Secret again. Store the credentials securely until your connection is complete.

Authorize the Paycor Application

Confirm the data access, activate the application, and generate the refresh token.

Open the Data Access tab and enable the permissions required for your Clarity connection.
Select Save. Paycor will generate a new application version and Scope. Copy and save the Scope from the General tab.
Open the Paycor Activation link and enter the OAuth Client ID and Application Scope, then select Initiate.
Review the requested access, select the client to connect, agree to the terms, and select Integrate.
Enter the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret, then select Submit. Copy and save the Access Token and Refresh Token.

In the Data Access tab, enable only the employee data permissions required for the connection.

Connect Paycor to Clarity

Enter the credentials you saved to complete the secure connection.

Have the following ready:

APIm Subscription Key
Application OAuth Client ID
Application OAuth Client Secret
Refresh Token

Then:

Enter the APIm Subscription Key in the secure connection window and select Next.
Enter the OAuth Client ID, OAuth Client Secret, and Refresh Token.
Select Connect.

You’re Connected!

Once the credentials are accepted, your secure Paycor connection to Clarity is complete.

Before you finish, confirm:

Your Paycor application is activated
The required Data Access permissions are enabled
You saved the current Scope and Refresh Token
The APIm Subscription Key and OAuth credentials were entered in the secure connection window
